Noblemen's interests: Games Board games | Physical feats Games As today, a variety of different games and sports were popular in Guto’s time. Games such as board games and cards were played indoors in gentry houses, with more active sports or physical feats such as running, archery or throwing a heavy stone being practised out of doors. The poets were very fond of praising their patrons’ prowess at such activities.
