Costumes: Textiles Wool | Silk | Velvet | Black-o-Lierre | Damask | Fur | Embroidery Textiles The range of available textiles was increasing rapidly in Guto’s time, both imported and locally produced ones. While the native wool industry was growing fast, it was now becoming more and more possible to purchase fine textiles like silk, velvet and damask in markets in Wales. Moreover, costumes were decorated with fur and embroidery to indicate high status.
